Players with 5-fer, 10-fer, and century at Lord’s in Test Cricket

London’s Lord’s Cricket Ground is a prestigious cricketing venue. It boasts a rich history and is a dream venue for many players to play cricket.

Many renowned players have had the privilege to play at this iconic stadium. But only a handful have etched their names on Lord’s 3 honours boards — taking a 5-wicket and 10-wicket haul and scoring a century.

Here we’ll list the players with a 5-fer, a 10-fer, and a century at Lord’s in Test Cricket.

Gubby Allen (England)

Gubby Allen became the first player to register his name on all Lord’s honours boards.

The right-hand batter scored his only Test century at Lord’s against New Zealand in June 1931. He scored a brilliant 122-run knock laced with 14 fours and a six while coming to bat at No. 9.

In his 4th match at Lord’s, Allen was the leading wicket-taker against India in 1936. He took 5 wickets in both innings, bagging a 10-wicket match haul.

Keith Miller (Australia)

Keith Miller is the only overseas player to achieve the treble of 5-fer, 10-fer, and century at Lord’s in Tests.

The former Australian all-rounder scored his Lord’s Test hundred against England in 1953. Miller amassed 109 runs in 292 minutes, including 14 fours and a six.

Miller returned to the venue in 1956 to take a 10-fer in the match against England. The pacer picked up 5 for 72 in the second innings and 5 for 80 in the fourth innings, helping the visitors win the match.

Ian Botham (England)

Ian Botham turned up at the Home of Cricket in 15 Tests and got all honours in his first 2 matches.

The legendary all-rounder scored 108 runs in the first innings of the June 1978 Test against Pakistan. In the third innings, he returned with the figure of 8 for 34.

His 10-wicket match haul came 2 months later against New Zealand, taking 6 for 101 and 5 for 39 in 2 innings.

Stuart Broad (England)

Stuart Broad was a handy batter lower down the order, and he showcased the glimpses when his team needed the most. He scored a valiant 169-run knock, rescuing England from a precarious situation against Pakistan in the 2010 Lord’s Test.

2 years later, he picked up 5 wickets in an innings and 10 wickets in a match against the West Indies. Broad took 7 and 4 wickets, respectively, bagging 11 wickets for 165 runs.

Chris Woakes (England)

Chris Woakes’ maiden 10-fer and hundred came at Lord’s 2 years apart. In July 2016, he picked up 6 for 70 and 5 for 32, respectively, against Pakistan.

2 summers later, Woakes cracked an unbeaten 137 while batting at No. 7 against India.

Gus Atkinson (England)

Gus Atkinson became the latest entrant to join this esteemed list. The pacer had a dream Test debut against the West Indies in July 2024, taking 7 wickets in the first innings and 5 in the second innings.

A month later, Atkinson scored 118 runs in the first innings against Sri Lanka. He picked up a 5-fer, a 10-fer, and scored a century at Lord’s in just 4 innings, surpassing Ian Botham, who took 6 innings in 1978.
