The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will organise the Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup in October 2024. The tournament is set to run from October 18 to 26 in Oman’s Al Amerat.
This will be the sixth edition of the emerging tournament. Though this will be the first time, it will take place in the T20 format, with the previous editions being held in one-day format.
Eight teams, including ‘A’ squads of all Asian Test teams, will participate in the tournament. Host Oman, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates are the other 3 teams.
Eight teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each. Each team will take on their group’s other opponents once in the group stage.
The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals, while the semi-final winners will fight it out in the final on October 26. All matches will take place at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1).
