The Australian summer of 2024-25 is about to get spicier as the Indian men’s cricket team tours down under. Australia and India will be up against each other in the 17th installation of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).
The thrilling Test series starts in late November 2024 and concludes in early January 2025. The series will be more exciting, as it will see both teams fighting in 5 Tests, the first time in BGT history.
Moreover, India have won the previous 2 series held in Australia in 2018-19 and 2020-21. And India have claimed the trophy in the last 4 editions.
So Australia will be under pressure to reclaim the glory, which adds more thrill to the contest.
The BGT will kick off on November 22, 2024, with Perth hosting the first Test match. Both teams will then play under lights in the day-night Test at Adelaide starting December 6.
The third Test will take place at the Gabba in Brisbane from December 14 onwards, which the Indian team breached on their last tour. Melbourne’s ‘The ‘G’ will be decked up to host both teams for the Boxing Day Test starting on December 26.
The series will conclude with the fifth Test taking place at the Sydney Cricket Ground starting January 3, 2025.
