After much back and forth, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025. The standoff between India and Pakistan delayed the announcement of the schedule, but a breakthrough last week paved the way for the fixtures to come out.
With less than two months to go, the Champions Trophy 2025 will begin on February 19 in Pakistan. The hosts Pakistan will open the tournament by squaring off against New Zealand in Karachi.
Eight teams will feature in the tournament after booking their berths in the 2023 ODI World Cup. The 50-over event will run for 19 days, with the final slated for March 9 in Lahore.
The final, though, might take place in Dubai, provided India qualify for it, where they will also play all their group stage games and semi-final 1 (if they make it). Both the semi-finals and the summit clash have reserve days.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Teams and Groups
The participating teams have been divided into two groups of four sides each. It will be a single round-robin format in the group stage, with teams taking on their group members once each.
