Dwayne Bravo is the most successful captain in the CPL. He won the CPL title 4 times as a skipper.
His first 3 title triumphs came in 2015, 2017, and 2018 while leading Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR). In the 2021 season, Bravo turned up for Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKNP) team and led them to their first CPL title win.
Second Most Matches & Wins as Captain in CPL
Dwayne Bravo led TKR in 70 matches and SKNP in 18 matches, accumulating 88 matches as captain. His 88 matches as skipper are the second-most in the CPL.
Moreover, his 54 wins (43 for TKR and 11 for SKNP) are also the second most by a captain in the CPL.
First Bowler to 100 Wickets in CPL
Bravo’s leadership skills were well-complimented by his bowling skills. During the 2020 season, the Champion became the first bowler to take 100 wickets in the CPL. He reached the landmark in his 73rd innings.
Most Wickets in a Single CPL Season
During TKR’s run to the title in 2015, Bravo led from the front with the ball. He picked up 28 wickets in 13 matches, creating a record for the most scalps in a single CPL season.
With that, Bravo became the first bowler to grab 20+ wickets in an edition. He is also the only bowler to take 20+ wickets in consecutive seasons (21 in 2016).
First Player to 1000 Runs & 100 Wickets in CPL
Dwayne Bravo became the first player to score 1000+ runs and take 100+ wickets in CPL history. The all-rounder racked up 1155 runs and 129 wickets in 105 appearances.
Second to 50 Catches as Fielder in CPL
Dwayne Bravo has shown his athleticism on the ground while fielding the ball. It’s fair to say he has the safest hands on the field.
Bravo’s catching skills were on point in the CPL, taking 58 catches as a fielder. During the 2022 season, he became only the second fielder to grab 50 catches in the league.
