List of Jos Buttler IPL 2022 Hundreds

Jos Buttler is one of the most exciting white-ball cricketers. The Englishman has been a nightmare for bowlers since his debut in international cricket in 2011. He has an excellent record in IPL, scoring over 4000 runs at a strike rate of close to 150. He also won the Orange Cap in the 2022 season, where the wicketkeeper-batter made 863 runs.

Playing for the Gujarat Titans now, Buttler has consistently scored over 300 runs in the last few seasons. It is that consistency that makes him a favourite pick in the IPL betting online Orange Cap winner market. Cricket fans and betting enthusiasts have plenty of confidence in Buttler, who has completed a decade in the IPL.

This blog lists hundreds scored by Buttler in the IPL 2022 season.

IPL Hundreds by Jos Buttler in IPL 2022

Buttler made his IPL debut in the Mumbai Indians’ colors in IPL 2016. He had a decent debut season, scoring 255 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 138.58. He made 272 runs the following season. But this time, his strike rate crossed over 150.

In IPL 2018, Buttler joined the Rajasthan Royals. Though he couldn’t win the IPL trophy again, Buttler produced brilliant performances with the bat for the Royals. He won the Orange Cap in 2022 and helped his franchise reach the final. His tally of 863 runs is the highest-ever by an overseas player in IPL history.

Here are the three-figure scores registered by Buttler in the IPL 2022 season:

100 vs Mumbai Indians

Buttler registered the first hundred of the IPL 2022 season after rescuing his side from a poor start. The Royals lost two wickets for just 48 runs in the powerplay. Buttler and Samson made an 82-run partnership, helping the Royals to a steady total. The overseas wicketkeeper-batter had to work hard for his hundred, as he hit 11 fours and five sixes.

Against his former side, Buttler reached his fifty in 32 balls. He paced his innings well after his half-century and ensured that he brought up his second IPL hundred. He was dismissed for 100, but the Royals made 193 in their 20 overs. The visitors won the match by 23 runs at Brabourne Stadium.

103 vs Kolkata Knight Riders

Fans at the Brabourne Stadium got treated to another high-quality batting by Buttler when the Royals met the Kolkata Knight Riders. Batting first, the Royals made a wonderful start, as Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal stitched together 97 runs for the first wicket. Buttler made more than 60 runs before the 10-over mark.

He slowed down a little bit and let Sanju Samson have a go at the bowlers. A six off Pat Cummins helped him bring up his hundred, coming off in just 59 balls. Two balls later, he was dismissed for 103. The Royals opener smashed nine fours and five sixes on his way to yet another IPL ton. The Men in Pink won the match by ten runs courtesy of a Yuzvendra Chahal hat-trick.

116 vs Delhi Capitals

Buttler scored a third IPL ton in Mumbai after scoring a brilliant 116 against the Delhi Capitals at Wankhede. He was in red-hot form after already registering two hundreds in the season. Having been asked to bat first by the Capitals, Buttler and Padikkal made the most out of the conditions.  The duo stitched together 155 runs for the opening wicket. Like always, Buttler was the dominant batter in the partnership.

Buttler was one short of a fourth career IPL hundred when Padikkal departed. He reached his hundred in the 16th over and added a few more boundaries before departing for 116. His innings saw nine fours and an equal number of sixes. He became the first overseas player to hit back-to-back IPL hundreds. It also slashed his odds in the Orange Cap IPL live betting odds

106* vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

Chasing 158 can be tricky, especially in Qualifier 2 of IPL. But Buttler made the run chase like a walk in the park after producing a stunning 59-ball hundred. Batting first, RCB made 157 in their 20 overs. With a place in the final awaiting the winner, there was pressure. The Royals haven’t reached an IPL final since the inaugural edition.

Buttler made half-century stands with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson. He made life difficult for the likes of Mohammed Siraj, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Harshal Patel. The half-century came in just 23 balls – one of his quickest fifties in IPL. He hit two sixes of Wanindu Hasaranga and ran a single off the last ball of the 18th over to complete his fourth IPL hundred of the season. A six off Harshal Patel saw him score the winning runs.
