The first-ever Women’s Hundred 2026 auction was a record-breaking affair. Teams splurged massive amounts to sign top talent. As a result, a few players went for big bucks.
Here are the top five most expensive players in the Women’s Hundred 2026 auction.
5. Issy Wong | £130,000 to Southern Brave
After spending a season with London Spirit, Issy Wong will play for a new team in the 2026 edition. Southern Brave snapped up the young pacer for £130,000.
But there was a bit of a tussle between MI London and Manchester Super Giants to secure Wong. Both franchises went up to £125,000 before the Brave sneaked in.
The Braves’ late entry saw the Super Giants back out, meaning Wong became a ‘Brave woman’.
4. Nadine de Klerk | £170,000 to London Spirit
Nadine de Klerk has returned to the Women’s Hundred with a bang. She reunites with a familiar coaching setup at London Spirit.
Before the Spirit secured her, MI London and Southern Brave showed interest in her. MI and the Brave battled their way to £105,000.
MI then dropped out, while the Spirit entered the race. The Spirit took the bid up to £170,000, beating the Brave in the process.
3. Danielle Gibson | £190,000 to Sunrisers Leeds
Before de Klerk’s signing, Danielle Gibson became the most expensive England player in the Women’s Hundred 2026 auction.
The Brave and the Super Giants set things off. The bid quickly zoomed past £120,000 before the Super Giants backed out.
Sunrisers Leeds then entered the bidding war, taking on the Brave and Welsh Fire. They outbid both teams, signing Gibson for £190,000.
2. Beth Mooney | £210,000 to Trent Rockets
Beth Mooney was in high demand in the auction. The result? The Australian keeper-batter became the joint-most expensive player in the Women’s Hundred 2026 auction.
There was a two-way battle between the Super Giants and Trent Rockets to buy Mooney. The bid started at £50,000 and zoomed past £200,000 in no time.
In the end, the Rockets outbid the Super Giants and secured Mooney for £210,000.
1. Sophie Devine | £210,000 to Welsh Fire
Before Mooney, Sophie Devine claimed the title of the most expensive player in the Women’s Hundred 2026.
The veteran New Zealand all-rounder garnered interest from three teams. MI and Brave were the first to start the bidding war.
Both teams went up to £150,000 before the Brave dropped out. Then Welsh Fire joined the paddle war, taking the big past £200,000.
The bid was with MI, and then the Fire raised the paddle for one last time, purchasing Devine for £210,000.
Devine was also among the most expensive buys in the Women’s Premier League 2026 auction.
