After a 2-match Test series between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Bangladesh, both teams will fly to New Zealand for the limited-overs series. This will be the second time both teams will engage in an ODI series within a span of 4 months, having played one ahead of the 2023 World Cup.
The series against Bangladesh will kick off New Zealand’s busy summer schedule, where they will be hosting Pakistan, South Africa, and Australia.
Speaking of the Bangladesh tour of New Zealand in December 2023, the tour consists of a 3-match One Day International (ODI) series and a 3-match T20 International (T20I) series. The T20I series will mark the preparations of both teams for the T20 World Cup scheduled in June 2024.
The tour will start with the ODI series, and the first match will take place in Dunedin on December 17. The second and third ODIs will be played in Nelson and Napier on December 20 and 23, respectively.
Then both teams will square off in the 3-match T20I series starting on December 27, with Napier hosting the first match. The next 2 T20I matches will take place in Mount Maunganui on December 29 and 31.
