Pakistan had a disappointing outing in the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The tournament didn’t quite go their way.

Now, with the 2027 Cricket World Cup not too far away, Pakistan will look to prepare well. They will likely play close to 30 ODIs in the lead-up to the tournament.

Pakistan vs Australia | March 2026 (Home)

Following the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will have a big ODI assignment on their hands. They will host Australia for three ODIs in March 2026.

Bangladesh vs Pakistan | TBD (Away)

As per the current FTP, Pakistan are scheduled to tour Bangladesh. The trip was pencilled in for March-April 2026. But the same has been postponed due to the PSL 2026 season.

The series is likely to be played in a suitable window, with both teams taking on each other in three ODIs.

Pakistan vs Zimbabwe | TBD (Home)

Pakistan were supposed to host Zimbabwe after their Bangladesh tour. But as things stand, the series has also been postponed due to a clash with PSL 2026. Pakistan might host Zimbabwe a few months later for a set of three one-dayers. 

ODI Tri-Series | October-November 2026 (Home)

After some Test action, Pakistan will host an ODI tri-series in October and November 2026. The tri-series involves England and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan will face the two teams once in a round-robin format, with a potential chance to make the tri-series final.

Asia Cup | September 2027 (Away)

Pakistan will be in action in the 2027 Asia Cup a few days before the World Cup. They will most likely play four to five ODI matches in the continental tournament.

Note: Pakistan may potentially schedule a few more ODI matches before the World Cup starts in October 2027.
