Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2025: Schedule, Venues, Squads, & Broadcast Details

With the Carnival of Cricket in full swing, the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) will return in September 2025. This will be the fourth edition of the women’s T20 league.

The WCPL will run parallel with the men’s CPL, which will be heading towards its business end

So, when does the WCPL 2025 start?

The WCPL 2025 will start on September 6. Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) Women will take on Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) Women in the first match.

Alright, how many teams will feature in the WCPL 2025?

As usual, three franchises are in the hunt to chase the WCPL trophy. Barbados Royals Women are the other team apart from the Warriors and Knight Riders to participate in the WCPL 2025. Barbados will start their title defence on September 7.

How many matches will take place?

The WCPL 2025 is a short tournament. It will see a total of seven games, including the final.

Okay, what’s the format like in the WCPL 2025?

The WCPL follows a pretty standard double round-robin format. Teams will face each other twice, playing four matches in the league stage. After six league stage matches, the top two teams will roll into the final.

Which venue will host the matches?

Guyana’s Providence Stadium will host the seven-match WCPL 2025, including the summit clash.
