India will kickstart the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, scheduled at home on September 30, 2025. The hosts will square off against neighboring Sri Lanka in Bengaluru.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the itinerary for the women’s 50-over event on June 16, 2025. It will be a 31-match affair spanning over a month.
While India are the official hosts, Sri Lanka’s Colombo will also stage some games, possibly even a semi-final and the final. This setup is in place to accommodate Pakistan’s games at a neutral ground since they won’t travel to India. Nevertheless, India will host close to 20 matches across four venues.
Before the main event gets underway, teams will also feature in two warm-up games each to tune up with the conditions.
The tournament will come to an end on November 2, with the final played in Bengaluru or Colombo (based on Pakistan’s qualification).
