List: Batters with 10000 Runs in Women’s International Cricket

10000 runs. It’s a big milestone in cricket. And achieving such a milestone means putting in a lot of work.

A few women cricketers have surpassed this rare landmark, showing their hunger to achieve greatness.

That said, here are the batters with 10000 runs across formats in women’s international cricket.

1. Charlotte Edwards | England

Former England batter and captain Charlotte Edwards was the first to score 10000 runs in women’s international cricket. She surpassed the milestone in 2016, setting an example for the generations to come.

Edwards was an integral part of the England setup, both as a batter and a leader. And her numbers prove that.

The right-hand batter finished her career with 10273 runs in 316 innings across formats. She scored 5992 runs in ODIs, followed by 2605 in T20Is and 1676 in Tests.

2. Mithali Raj | India

Mithali Raj was the mainstay of India’s batting lineup. Without her, the batting lineup was almost toothless!

Despite not much support from the other end, Raj went on to script many records. And one of them was scaling the ‘Mount 10k’ in women’s international cricket.

Raj joined Edwards in this elite club in 2021, becoming the first Indian to aggregate 10000 runs in women’s international cricket. The former Indian captain bowed out with 7805 runs in ODIs, 2364 in T20Is, and 699 in Tests.

3. Suzie Bates | New Zealand

Suzie Bates is a New Zealand great. She was destined to become a top athlete, as she juggled between basketball and cricket early in her career.

Bates had to choose between the two sports, and she chose cricket. And what a great choice she made!

In 2024, Bates became just the third batter to score 10000 international runs in women’s cricket. Notably, she hasn’t played a single Test match in her two-decade-long career!

4. Smriti Mandhana | India

Smriti Mandhana is the modern-day great in women’s cricket. And the way she has been scoring runs since her debut in 2013 completely proves it.

Runs aren’t the only thing Mandhana has under her stride. She has plenty of records to her name in a remarkable career.

And the most notable one has to be the achievement of scoring 10000 runs in women’s international cricket. She became the second Indian and, overall, the fourth batter to achieve the feat.

What makes Mandhana’s achievement even better is that she is the youngest (29 years and 163 days) and fastest (281 innings) of the lot to reach ‘Mount 10k’. With age on her side, Mandhana is set to break and create many records.
