The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has unveiled the schedule for the Women’s Asia Cup 2024, to be held in Sri Lanka. The ninth edition of the continental competition will take place between July 19 and 28, in T20I format.
The 2024 Women’s Asia Cup will act as a precursor for the Asian teams qualified for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup. A total of 8 teams will feature in the continental tournament, split into 2 groups of 4 each.
The Women’s Asia Cup will see 15 games, including 2 semi-finals and the summit clash. Nepal will take on the UAE in the opening match in Dambulla on July 19, with the final scheduled for July 28.
India is the defending champion and the most successful team in the tournament, with 7 titles.
Women’s Asia Cup 2024: Teams, Groups, and Venues
The 2024 edition will see an increase in the number of participating teams from 7 to 8. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh will be joined by the Women’s Premier Cup 2024 semi-finalists — the UAE, Malaysia, Nepal, and Thailand.
The 8 teams are divided into 2 groups:
Group A: India, Pakistan, Nepal, UAE
Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand
The top 2 teams from both groups will advance to the semi-finals played on July 26. The winners of the semi-final will battle it out in the final on July 28.
All the group stage matches and knockout matches will take place at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.

Women’s Asia Cup 2024: Broadcasting and Live Streaming
In India, the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup will be broadcast live on TV by Star Sports. While the tournament will also be available for live streaming on the Disney+ Hotstar app.
