India is all set to host the South Africa Women’s team for an all-format series in June-July 2024. On May 14, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the complete schedule for the South Africa Women’s Tour of India 2024.
The all-format series involves 3 ODIs, a one-off Test, and 3 T20Is, played across 2 venues in Bengaluru and Chennai. The South African team will also play a warmup One Day match against the Board President XI before the main series kicks off.
The India women vs South Africa women series will commence with the 3 ODIs (day/night), staged at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The ODI matches will take place on June 16, 19, and 23, with 1:30 PM being the kick-off time.
Both teams will then head to Chennai to play the 4-day one-off Test match. This will be the first Test encounter between India and South Africa in almost 10 years, after the 2014 Test in Mysore.
The Test match will take place between June 28 and July 1 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The match will start at 9:30 AM.
Then the series will conclude with 3 T20Is, which will be crucial fixtures with an eye on the 2024 T20 World Cup scheduled for October. The 3 T20Is will be played on July 5, 7, and 9 in Chennai.
