With seven bilateral series lined up, the England men’s cricket team will have a busy schedule in 2025. Four of the series will take place at home while the rest will be away fixtures.
In between, England will also participate in the eight-team Champions Trophy scheduled to take place in Pakistan. Overall, England will play 10 Tests, 12 one-dayers, and 11 T20Is this year.

India vs England | January-February 2025 (Away)
England’s 2025 starts with a white-ball tour to India. Last year, they lost the Test series here by 1-4 under Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum.
Now McCullum will return with Jos Buttler at the helm to take on India in five T20Is and three ODIs. The series will get underway on January 22 with T20Is and conclude on February 12 with ODIs.
Champions Trophy | February-March 2025 (Away)
Following the India tour, the England men will fly to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy. They feature in Group B along with Afghanistan, Australia, and South Africa.
England’s first match will be against rivals Australia on February 22, followed by versus Afghanistan on February 26 and South Africa on March 1.
England vs Zimbabwe | May 2025 (Home)
Late May will see England kick off their home season. They will host Zimbabwe for a one-off Test after 22 years.
Unlike other Test matches, this will be a four-day affair played between May 22 and 25 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
England vs West Indies | May-June 2025 (Home)
Four days later, a limited-overs series against West Indies will follow. England will host the Caribbean side for three one-dayers and as many T20I games. The series will run from May 29 to June 10.
England vs India | June-August 2025 (Home)
The attention will then shift towards the Test series against India. It will be an enticing five-match series, marking the beginning of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle.
The Test series between England and India will commence on June 20 and wrap up on August 4.

England vs South Africa | September 2025 (Home)
After the Hundred concludes, South Africa will tour England for a white-ball series. The Englishmen will square off against the Proteas in three ODIs and as many T20Is.
The series will start on September 2, with the third T20I match on September 14 drawing curtains on England’s home season.
Ireland vs England | September 2025 (Away)
After wrapping up the home summer, England will take a short trip to Ireland. Both teams will clash in three 50-over matches on September 17, 19, and 21.
Australia vs England | November-December 2025 (Away)
After a two-month break, England will be back in action down under. They will tour Australia for the iconic Ashes 2025-26.
The five-match Test series will kick off on November 21, with four Tests taking place before 2025 ends. The last match of the Ashes will take place in early 2026 in Sydney.
