Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule: Dates, Venues, Squad

Pakistan have set their eyes on the T20 World Cup 2026. They will travel to Sri Lanka for the mega event in February and March 2026.

So, here’s Pakistan’s schedule for the T20 World Cup, along with key details.

But before that…

How did Pakistan fare in the 2024 edition?

Pakistan had a disappointing outing in the 2024 edition. First, they endured a shocking defeat at the hands of co-hosts USA, followed by a close loss to India.

Although Pakistan won their next two games, it was too late to secure a Super Eight slot. And thus, the Babar Azam-led men crashed out of the group-stage.

How did Pakistan qualify for this edition?

Despite early exit in 2024, their path to the 2026 edition was rather smooth. They qualified based on their superior rank on the ICC team ranking. They were the second highest-ranked team (7th) outside the Super Eight teams.

So, when does Pakistan play their first match?

Pakistan will be in action on the opening day. They will lock horns against the Netherlands in Colombo on February 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Where will Pakistan play all their matches?

Pakistan will remain in Colombo for all group-stage fixtures. If they qualify for the Super Eight stage this time, they could play a couple of matches in Kandy.

Here are the venues for Pakistan’s matches:

  • R Premadasa Stadium (RPS), Colombo
  • Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) Ground, Colombo

Okay. What’s Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2026 schedule like?

Pakistan’s next game is against the USA, the same opposition they lost against last time. They will meet on February 10 at 7:00 PM.

Next up will be India. This clash is set for February 15 at 7:00 PM. Pakistan’s last group-stage match is against Namibia on February 18.

What are Pakistan’s key matches to watch?

Pakistan’s game against the USA will be one to keep an eye on. It will be interesting to see if the Men in Green avenge the last edition’s defeat or not.

Then their clash against India will be crucial. Pakistan haven’t had any success against the Indian side of late. So, this will be a big test for them.

What could be Pakistan’s Super Eight fixtures if they qualify?

Pakistan missed out on Super Eight qualification last time around. But if they make the cut this time, here are the teams they could face.

Pakistan will be seeded Y3 irrespective of where they finish in the top 2 in Group A.
