Duleep Trophy 2025: Schedule, Teams, Venues, & Broadcast Details

India is about to start its domestic cricket season in August 2025. As usual, the Duleep Trophy will be the season opener. It’s the country’s premier first-class competition.

So, when and where does the Duleep Trophy 2025 start?

The red-ball tournament will get underway from August 28 onwards. The entire zonal tournament will pan out at BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

Is the Duleep Trophy back in zonal format?

Yes! Six zonal teams will fight for the trophy over 19 days. The teams are Central Zone, East Zone, North East Zone, North Zone, South Zone, and West Zone.

What’s the format like?

Since zonal teams will contest for the trophy, we will see the knockout format in place.

The first four teams will compete in two quarter-finals. South Zone and West Zone have directly sealed their spots in the semi-finals.

They will face one of the quarter-final winners in their respective semi-final clash. The semi-final winners will then set up the final from September 11 to 15.

The quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place over four days, while the title clash is set for five days.
