India vs Australia 2023 T20I Series: Full Schedule, Squads, and Broadcasting Details

Now that the fever of the 2023 ODI World Cup is over, India will square off against Australia in a 5-match T20I series. This series will mark the beginning of both team’s preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The India vs. Australia T20I series will start on November 23, 2023, with the first match scheduled in Visakhapatnam. Then the teams will travel to Thiruvananthapuram for the second T20I scheduled on November 26.

The third T20I match will take place in Guwahati on November 28. Raipur will host the fourth match of the series on December 1. And Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy will host the final match of the series on December 3.

India vs Australia 2023 T20 Series: Squads

The BCCI and CA have announced their squads for the T20I series. India’s squad will miss the services of the senior players, as they have been rested after the World Cup. 

The Men in Blue will be led by Suryakumar Yadav, with Ruturaj Gaikwad as his deputy for the first 3 T20Is. Shreyas Iyer will join the squad for the last 2 matches as the Vice-Captain.

Apart from SKY and Iyer, Ishan Kishan and Prasidh Krishna are the only 2 players from the World Cup squad. The rest of the players have been picked from the Asian Games squad that won the gold medal.

Australia’s squad, on the other hand, will be led by Matthew Wade in the absence of Mitchell Marsh. Australia’s squad comprises a few players from the World Cup winning team. Australia have also rested their main players before they kick off Australia’s home summer season down under.
