On April 21, 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the player central contracts for the 2024-25 season. As many as 34 players are on the annual retainers list. Their contracts will run from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025.

While the usual suspects like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have kept their places, a few new players have entered the list. And a couple of players have returned after missing out on last season’s contract.

So let’s see the Indian players with the central BCCI annual contracts for the 2024-25 season here.

Indian Players with BCCI Contracts for 2024-25 Season

As mentioned earlier, 34 players have earned the contract this season, four more than last season. Twenty-five of those players have retained their spots, while Rishabh Pant is the only one with an upgraded contract. And seven of the remaining nine players have bagged their first-ever central contracts.

Here are the players with the central contract for the 2024-25 season:

BCCI Contract Categories

Now these players have been split into four contract categories. The categories are Grade A+, Grade A, Grade B, and Grade C.

Each category offers a certain salary to the players for the mentioned contract period. The top category, Grade A+, commands the highest salary of INR 7 crore, followed by Grade A (5 crore), Grade B (3 crore), and Grade C (1 crore).

Grade A+ has four players, while six players feature in Grade A. Five players are part of Grade B, while Grade C has the most, with 19 players on the roster.

On top of their salaries, these players will also earn match fees for their international appearances. And then there’s a special incentive scheme for those who will play Test cricket consistently.
