With the IPL 2025 mega auction knocking on the door, all ten franchises have revealed their player retentions. Teams were allowed to retain a maximum of six players before the retention deadline of October 31.
Some of the franchises have used all six retention slots, while others have kept a few open with Right-to-Match (RTM) cards at their disposal in the upcoming mega auction.
Since the day the IPL Governing Council announced the retention rules ahead of the auction, there has been chatter about who is going to retain who.
But now all franchises have unveiled their retained players. Here you can find the complete list of players retained and released by every franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Players Retained for IPL 2025
CSK used their four capped slots, retaining their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Matheesha Pathirana, and Shivam Dube. MS Dhoni is the fifth retention under the re-introduced uncapped rule.
