New Zealand have a lot to look forward to when they start one of their biggest home season in 2026-27.
So here’s a look at New Zealand men’s and women’s 2026-27 home season schedule.
New Zealand Men’s 2026-27 Home Season
The Blackcaps have two all-format series against two Asian opponents. The first one against India is the biggest bilateral series in their home season history. And the other series is against Sri Lanka.
New Zealand vs India | October-December 2026
India arrive in New Zealand in October 2026. The Kiwis will host them for 12 matches across formats. Five of them are T20Is, followed by five ODIs and two Tests.
The series starts with the T20Is, with the first game on October 22 in Christchurch. The second T20I is also at the same venue on October 24.
Wellington will host the third match on October 27, followed by the fourth game in Auckland on October 30. Hamilton will round out the T20Is on November 1.
Then the attention will shift to the ODIs. Teams will travel back to Auckland for the first one-dayer on November 4.
The action then moves to Wellington for the second ODI on November 7. Hamilton will host the third ODI on November 10. The last two ODIs will take place in Mount Maunganui on November 13 and 15, respectively.
The ODIs are crucial as both teams prepare for next year’s Cricket World Cup. And the Tests are also important as both teams look to qualify for the WTC final.
The first Test will take place in Wellington starting on November 19. Christchurch will host the second Test from November 27 onwards.

New Zealand vs Sri Lanka | January-February 2027
The Blackcaps will resume their home season in January 2027. On their return, they will host Sri Lanka for three ODIs, three T20Is and two Tests.
The series begins with the ODI leg, with the first match on January 16 in Napier. Wellington will host the second ODI on January 19, followed by the third in Dunedin on January 22.
Both teams will then lock horns in T20Is, with the first game on January 26 in Christchurch. Nelson will stage the next two T20Is on January 29 and 31, respectively.
Then the two teams will contest two Tests, which are part of the ongoing WTC cycle. The first Test is in Mount Maunganui from February 4 onwards. Hamilton will host the second Test starting on February 12.
