List: Players to Feature in Every T20 World Cup from 2007 to 2024

In the fast-paced world of T20 cricket, it’s quite hard to maintain consistency in form and fitness to prolong the career as a player.

However, a handful of them strive to make it bigger by adapting to rising changes and representing their country on the international stage proudly for a longer time.

The T20 World Cup is the pinnacle of T20I cricket, and there’s quite nothing like featuring in the tournament edition after edition.

Rohit Sharma and Shakib Al Hasan are the only 2 players who have featured in every T20 World Cup edition held between 2007 and 2024.

Rohit Sharma | India

Rohit Sharma made his T20 World Cup debut against England on September 19, 2007, though he couldn’t get a chance to bat. However, in the next match against South Africa, he scored a match-winning 50 not out off 40 balls. Overall, he scored 88 runs in 3 innings in the inaugural edition.

In the 2009 edition, the Hitman accumulated 131 runs across 5 innings, including a half-century. Sharma couldn’t get many chances in the 2010 iteration, scoring 84 in innings, with an unbeaten 79 versus Australia being his highest.

2012 was also the same, as he could muster only 82 runs in 4 innings, including a solitary fifty. However, 2014 was a standout edition for Sharma, as he fetched 200 runs in 6 innings while opening for the first time.

The home T20 World Cup in 2016, though, was a disappointing affair, as the opener scored 88 runs in 5 innings without a fifty. Sharma had a decent outing in 2021, accumulating 174 runs in 5 innings, including 2 fifties.

In the 2022 edition, he was at the helm of the Indian team, though he delivered an underwhelming performance. Now, for the 2024 T20 World Cup, Sharma is back to lead the Indian team.
