12 Venues Revealed for Cricket World Cup 2027

The Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) is set to return to Africa after 24 years. South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia will co-host the Cricket World Cup 2027.

A total of 12 venues across these three African countries will host the matches in October-November 2027.

So here’s all you need to know about the venues for the Cricket World Cup 2027.

Which venues will host CWC 2027 matches in South Africa?

Eight cities across South Africa will share the hosting duties in CWC 2027.

Here are the venues:

Wanderers Stadium |Johannesburg

The Wanderers Stadium is one of the oldest venues in South Africa. It has a vast history behind it. And the ground can host 28,000 spectators at one time.

Centurion | Tshwane

Centurion is a modern cricket facility. The grass banks in the ground make it a happening venue, which can host 22,000 fans. The venue has faster pitches, with a lot of help on offer for batters.

Newlands Cricket Ground | Cape Town

Newlands is one of the most beautiful cricket stadiums in the world. With Table Mountain in the backdrop, the venue offers a balanced surface. Notably, spinners find some turn here.

Kingsmead Cricket Ground | Durban

Kingsmead is another South African venue with a rich history. The 25,000-seater venue has been hosting cricket since 1923. 

St George’s Park | Gqeberha

Cricket in Gqeberha dates back to 1888. St George’s Park hosted the first-ever Test in South Africa. The venue can host 19,000 spectators.

Mangaung Oval | Bloemfontein

Bloemfontein may not be an old cricket stadium, but it has had its share of historical moments. The venue can host 20,000 spectators, with its lively grass banks being the highlight.

Boland Park | Paarl

Boland Park is another beautiful venue from South Africa. The mountains in the backdrop and the grass banks make for a wonderful viewing experience.

Buffalo Park | KuGompo City

Buffalo Park is one of the smallest cricket stadiums in South Africa. The ground can host up to 15,000 fans. The pitch here is generally flat, so batters find a lot of help.

Which venues will host CWC 2027 matches in Zimbabwe?

Originally, Zimbabwe had only two host venues. But there’s an addition of one more venue, taking the number to three.

Here are the venues:

Harare Sports Club | Harare

Harare Sports Club is the prime hotspot for cricket in Zimbabwe. It’s known for its lively atmosphere during matches. While it doesn’t have a huge capacity, the venue stands as a witness to Zimbabwean cricket history.

Queens Sports Club | Bulawayo

Queens Sports Club is no different to Harare. It is the second-most prominent cricket venue after Harare in Zimbabwe. An old pavilion, grass banks and trees make it a beautiful venue.

Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium | Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is the most modern cricket stadium in Zimbabwe. It has been specially constructed ahead of the CWC 2027 edition.

Which venues will host CWC 2027 matches in Namibia?

Namibia is set to host the CWC for the first time. And Windhoek will host all the matches.

Namibia Cricket Ground | Windhoek

Namibia Cricket Ground is the newest venue in the country. The venue was inaugurated in October 2025. It can host 7,500 spectators.
