But that’s not the only thing they will take home. The World Cup title comes with a hefty pay cheque.
The ICC has revealed a huge prize pot for the 13th edition, up by 297 per cent from the 2022 iteration!
So, what’s the total prize money on offer in the Women’s World Cup 2025?
The eight teams will share a massive prize money of USD 13.88 million (approx. INR 123 crore). That’s more than what was on offer in the men’s ODI World Cup in 2023. The men’s event had a prize pool of USD 10 million.
How much will the winners receive?
The winners will, of course, take the big cut. Apart from the tag of the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup champions, they will take home USD 4.48 million. That’s around INR 39.7 crore.
The winner’s share has jumped by 239 per cent, with USD 1.32 million awarded to the 2022 edition’s champions.

What about the runners-up?
Their share has also seen a rise of 273 per cent. The runners-up of the 2025 Women’s World Cup will receive USD 2.24 million (approx. INR 19.8 crore), up from USD 600,000 offered in the last edition.
Will the losing semi-finalists receive any prize money?
Yep. Despite the heartbreak, the semi-finalists will have something to look forward to.
The two losing semi-finalists stand to bag USD 1.12 million each (approx. INR 9.9 crore). That’s 273 per cent more than the previous edition’s USD 300,000 each.
And the other four teams?
The bottom four teams will also collect their share from the total prize pot. Teams ranked fifth and sixth earn USD 700,000 each (approx. INR 6.2 crore). The bottom two teams will take USD 280,000 each (approx. INR 2.48 crore).
That’s not all. There’s more money to be made by each team.
What? Yep, teams will receive a guaranteed USD 250,000 each (approx. INR 2.2 crore) as a tournament participation fee. Plus, each win in the group stage will add USD 34,314 (approx. INR 30.4 lakh) to their overall prize money.
