
Australia are the current Cricket World Cup title holder. While the trophy will remain in their cabinet till the 2027 Cricket World Cup, they would like to keep it far beyond that. And so, Australia needs to prepare well for the next edition.
They will play a good number of ODIs to find their perfect combination. From 2026 till the 2027 World Cup, Australia will at least play 20 to 25 ODIs, with 15 of them confirmed matches.

Pakistan vs Australia | March 2026 (Away)
After the 2026 T20 World Cup, Australia will shift their focus to the 2027 ODI World Cup. And the first series on their cards will be against Pakistan. They will make a short trip to Pakistan for a three-match ODI series in March 2026.
Bangladesh vs Australia | June 2026 (Away)
Australia will be back in the Asian subcontinent in June 2026. They will tour Bangladesh for a white-ball series, which includes three ODIs. This will be Australia’s first ODI series in Bangladesh in more than 15 years.
Zimbabwe vs Australia | September 2026 (Away)
Australia will make a quick pit stop in Zimbabwe en route to South Africa. They will take on the hosts in a three-ODI series in September 2026, the first between both sides in Zimbabwe in more than 12 years.
South Africa vs Australia | September-October 2026 (Away)
Australia will touch down in South Africa in late September 2026. They will play three ODIs, alongside three Tests, part of the 2025-27 WTC cycle.
Australia vs England | November 2026 (Home)
After the South Africa tour, the Aussies will be back home. They will host arch-rivals England for a white-ball series. Both teams will lock horns in three ODIs in November 2026.
Note: Australia may potentially schedule a few more ODI matches before the World Cup starts in October 2027.
