Australia T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule: Dates, Venues, Squad

Australia enter the T20 World Cup 2026 as one of the favourites. The Mitchell Marsh-led side will look to storm into the final and lift the trophy this time around.

So, here’s Australia’s schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026, along with all details.

But before that…

How did Australia perform in the last edition?

The Aussies were unbeaten in Group B, winning all four of their matches. Thus, they advanced to the Super Eight stage.

Australia then started the Super Eight stage with a win over Bangladesh, though they lost to Afghanistan and India. This meant they missed out on a semi-final spot, ending their title dream.

How did the Aussies qualify for this edition?

Since Australia reached the Super Eight stage in the 2024 edition, they secured a direct entry for this year’s event.

Alright. When do they play their first match?

Australia are in Group B. And they will face Ireland in their group stage match on February 11 in Colombo. The match will start at 3:00 PM IST.

Where will Australia play their matches?

The Australians will play two group stage matches each in Sri Lanka’s Colombo and Kandy.

Here are the venues for Australia:

  • Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy
  • R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

What’s Australia’s full T20 World Cup 2026 schedule?

The Kangaroos will take on Zimbabwe in their second match on February 13. Then they will move to Kandy for the next two games. Australia will face co-hosts Sri Lanka on February 16, followed by Oman on February 20.
