Mumbai Cricket Association Player Salaries and Central Contracts List

Mumbai are the heavyweights of India’s domestic cricket. And to recognise the efforts of their hard-working cricketers, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has come up with first-of-its-kind player contracts.

This has made the MCA the first state cricket association to offer central contracts to its players.

So here’’s a look at the central contracts and salaries offered by the Mumbai Cricket Association for the 2026-27 season.

Mumbai Cricket Association Player Salaries

In a commendable move, the MCA has introduced equal pay for their contracted players. So the salaries of the men’s and women’s cricketers are the same.

Those in Grade A will earn INR 12 lakh per year. Players in Grade B will take home INR 8 lakh. And those contracted in Grade C will receive INR 6 lakh.

Does the MCA pay match fees to its players?

The MCA offers match fees only to its Ranji Trophy players. And the match fees are similar to those of the BCCI.

Those in the playing XI in a league-stage match earn INR 60,000 per day on top of the INR 60,000 offered by the BCCI. These match fees apply to players who’ve played 40-plus first-class matches.

Players with 21 to 40 first-class games earn INR 50,000, while those with fewer than 20 appearances receive INR 40,000.

Senior men’s players get INR 50,000 for every 50-over match, while a T20 appearance earns them INR 17,500.

Senior women’s cricketers, meanwhile, take home INR 50,000 for every appearance in a 50-over and a T20 match. And only the BCCI pays the match fees for the limited-overs games.
