Want to know the bowlers who have taken hat-tricks in the Women’s Premier League (WPL)? Here’s a complete list. Read now!

Hat-tricks aren’t something that we see quite often in T20 cricket. And to have one, a bowler needs to have a bit of luck on their side apart from the skills they have.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL), which is growing from strength to strength, has seen a few bowlers dismiss three batters off three consecutive balls.

This article will list all the bowlers who have taken hat-tricks in the WPL.

1. Issy Wong (Mumbai Indians) vs UP Warriorz, 2023

Issy Wong became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the WPL. And her achievement couldn’t have come at a better time than the Eliminator.

Representing Mumbai Indians (MI), Wong put up a skilful bowling display to fetch three wickets in a row. Batting first, MI put up 182 runs against UP Warriorz (UPW).

In reply, the Warriorz were looking good at 84 for 4 at the end of the 12th over. Then Wong comes back into the attack for her third over.

On the second delivery, she got Kiran Navgire caught out before bowling out Simran Shaikh and Sophie Ecclestone on the next two balls to complete her hat-trick.

Wong finished with the figures of 4 for 15, helping MI cruise into the final, which they later won by beating Delhi Capitals.

2. Deepti Sharma (UP Warriorz) vs Delhi Capitals, 2024

Deepti Sharma fetched the second hat-trick of the WPL. And it came in a thrilling game against Delhi Capitals.

The Warriorz were defending a modest 139-run target, with DC cruising safely at 93 for 2. Then Sharma struck a wicket on the last ball of the 14th over. She dismissed DC captain Meg Lanning.

Four overs later, the Capitals were 124 for 4, with a win almost in sight. Then Sharma returned for her last over, which brought UP back into the game.

The right-arm spinner dismissed two batters on the first two deliveries to complete her hat-trick. And then she added another wicket on the fourth ball to finish with figures of 4 for 19.

UP would then go on to win the match by the barest of margins on the last ball of the match.

3. Grace Harris (UP Warriorz) vs Delhi Capitals, 2025

Grace Harris is the latest entrant on this list. She picked up three wickets in a row on February 22, 2025, joining her teammate Deepti Sharma.

Interestingly, Harris also accomplished the feat against Delhi Capitals like Sharma did in 2024. The game had already seen the joint-fastest half-century by Chinelle Henry, and Harris’ hat-trick was the icing on the cake.

By the time Harris bagged the three consecutive dismissals, the Warriorz were almost through to the match. It was just a formality, with DC needing 34 runs in the last over.

Harris started the final over by dismissing Niki Prasad before having Arundhati Reddy on the second ball. Then the hat-trick seemed to go out of her hand as she juggled the return shot from Minnu Mani but somehow held on to the ball to wrap up DC’s innings
