
India will see bumper action in the 2025-26 domestic cricket season. The Duleep Trophy will kick off the 2025-26 domestic season on August 28, 2025.
A total of 37 tournaments will take place in this season. Twenty tournaments are part of men’s cricket across age groups, while 17 are women’s tournaments.
The BCCI will organise these tournaments across different formats – first-class, 50-over, and T20 cricket. Most of the tournaments will have elite and plate groups, with different finals for both groups.

Senior Men’s Tournaments | 2025-26
The senior men’s teams of all state cricket associations will compete across three formats. They will be in action in the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT), and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT).
The Ranji Trophy, the top-flight first-class tournament, will take place across two phases. The first phase will run across October and November 2025. And the tournament will resume in January 2026.
SMAT and VHT will occupy the gap between the two Ranji Trophy phases. Teams will compete in T20 games in SMAT from late November to mid-December 2025. VHT will start soon in late December and conclude in mid-January 2026.
Before that, the zonal Duleep Trophy will take precedence. Six zonal teams will play in the red-ball tournament across August and September 2025.
The Irani Cup will be a short affair at the start of October 2025. Vidarbha, last season’s Ranji Trophy winners, will take on the Rest of India squad.
Under-23 Men’s Tournament | 2025-26
The under-23 men’s teams will be in action from October 2025 to March 2026. They will first lock horns in the Colonel C.K. Nayudu Trophy.
It’s a red-ball tournament pencilled in across two phases. The first phase will take place across October-November 2025, while the second phase will resume in late January 2026.
In between both phases, teams will feature in a 50-over tournament. They will play for the Men’s U23 State A Trophy across November 2025.
Under-19 Men’s Tournament | 2025-26
The under-19 boys also have a red-ball and 50-over tournament. First up will be the one-day tournament, which runs from October 9 to November 1, 2025.
Then there will be a zonal one-day tournament for a week. The Men’s U19 One Day Challenger Trophy will take place from November 5 to 11.
The under-19 teams will regroup for red-ball games. They will appear in the Cooch Behar Trophy, which starts on November 16. The Elite group fixtures stretch till January 2026, while the Plate group will conclude in late December 2025.
Under-16 Men’s Tournament | 2025-26
The under-16 boys have a single tournament. The state teams will participate in the Vijay Merchant Trophy.
It’s a multi-day tournament played with a red ball. The tournament will begin on December 7, 2025, and end in January 2026.
Inter-University Men’s Tournament | 2025-26
The BCCI will organise an inter-university tournament, the Vizzy Trophy. It will be a 50-over competition played among zonal teams. The Vizzy Trophy will take place from March 1 to 7, 2026.

Senior Women’s Tournament | 2025-26
State associations will field their teams in the senior women’s tournament in the 2025-26 season. Their first challenge will be the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy. The T20 tournament will take place in October 2025.
The Senior Women’s Inter-zonal T20 Trophy will follow right after. It will be a 10-day affair in the first half of November 2025.
The senior women’s teams will be back in action in February 2026. This time, they will compete in the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy. An interzonal one-day trophy will then take place in the first half of March 2026.
The BCCI will continue with the Senior Women’s Inter-zonal Multi-Day Trophy this season. The red-ball competition will start on March 20 and conclude on April 3, 2026.
Under-23 Women’s Tournament | 2025-26
The under-23 women’s structure will have a T20 and a one-day tournament. They will start with T20s.
The Women’s U23 T20 Trophy will begin on November 24, 2025. It will end on December 3 for the Plate group, while the Elite group final will take place on December 11.
Then the Women’s U23 One Day Trophy will take place in March 2026. The tournament will commence on March 3, with the Plate group final on March 13 and the Elite group final on March 22.
Under-19 Women’s Tournament | 2025-26
The under-19 women’s teams will have a similar set of tournaments. The Women’s U19 T20 Trophy will be the first to take place. It will start in late October and end in mid-November 2025.
The one-day tournament will start a month later in December 2025. It will conclude on December 23 for the Plate group, while the final for the Elite group will be on January 1, 2026.
Under-15 Women’s Tournament | 2025-26
The BCCO will organise a three-week-long one-day tournament for the under-15 age group. The teams will compete in the Women’s U15 One Day Trophy in January 2026.
