Cricket fever has reached the United States of America (USA). USA Cricket will kick off the inaugural season of its T20 franchise league — Major League Cricket (MLC).
The MLC 2023 starts on July 13, 2023, and the final will take place on July 30, 2023.
A total of six teams will participate in the 19-match league, including playoffs. The six teams that will feature in MLC are — Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, and Washington Freedom.
Moreover, four of the six teams — Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and Texas — are owned by IPL franchises.
The league will allow domestic cricketers to play alongside some of the world’s best international cricketers. And the game of cricket will try to establish its place in the land of baseball.

Format of MLC 2023
The inaugural season of MLC will see a total of 19 matches played across 15 days. All 19 matches, including playoffs, will take place at two grounds — Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas, and Church Street Park, North Carolina.
Grand Prairie Stadium will host the inaugural match between the Texas Super Kings and the Los Angeles Knight Riders. The stadium will also host the MLC Final match.
Teams will play against each other in a single round-robin format. After 15 league matches, the top four teams will move into the playoffs of the MLC.
Further, the MLC Playoffs structure involves an Eliminator, Qualifier, Challenger, and Final.
