What are the Squads for Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025?

The Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 will hit the ground on June 12. Six teams will be in action in the monthlong tournament.

All teams have recruited a mix of overseas and domestic players to have a shot at the trophy.

So here are the squads of all six teams in the MLC 2025 season.

MLC 2025: Complete Squads

Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR)

LAKR will have a new captain in place this season. Jason Holder will be at the helm, replacing Sunil Narine in the job.

In addition, LAKR will rely mostly on their Caribbean recruits. Apart from Holder and Narine, LAKR will have the services of power hitters Andre Fletcher, Andre Russell, Rovman Powell, and Sherfane Rutherford.

Speaking of their domestic recruits, Ali Khan and Shadley van Schalkwyk will be the lead pacers. Unmukt Chand, meanwhile, will slot in at the top.

Adithya Ganesh, Ali Khan, Alex Hales, Andre Fletcher, Andre Russell, Anrich Nortje, Corne Dry, Jason Holder (c), Karthik Gattepalli, Matthew Tromp, Nitish Kumar, Rovman Powell, Saif Badar, Sherfane Rutherford, Shadley van Schalkwyk, Sunil Narine, Tanveer Sangha, Unmukt Chand.

MI New York (MINY)

MINY also have a captaincy change this season. Kieron Pollard will make way for the recently retired Nicholas Pooran.

Trent Boult will open the bowling for MINY along with Naveen-ul-Haq. Quinton de Kock will keep the gloves, while Michael Bracewell will chip in with bat and ball.

Among locals, Monank Patel and Nosthush Kenjige will bolster the batting and bowling units. Agni Chopra, who shifted from India to the USA, will make his MLC debut.

San Francisco Unicorns (SFU)

Kiwi turned American Corey Anderson will captain San Francisco Unicorns. They will have the services of many Australian and New Zealand cricketers.

Finn Allen, Matthew Short, Jake Fraser-McGurk, and Tim Seifert headline the overseas batting recruits. Romario Shepherd will further strengthen the Unicorns’ batting lineup. Xavier Bartlett, Haris Rauf, and Liam Plunkett will be their lead pacemen.

Corey Anderson (c), Finn Allen, Matthew Short, Juanoy Drysdale, Romario Shepherd, Xavier Bartlett, Haris Rauf, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, Tim Seifert, Callum Stow, Liam Plunkett, Brody Couch, Carmi le Roux, Hassan Khan, Cooper Connolly, Karima Gore, Hammad Azam, Achilles Browne.

Seattle Orcas (SO)

Seattle Orcas’ batting lineup has received a major boost with David Warner’s signing. He will have the company of captain Heinrich Klaasen, Shimron Hetmyer, and Kyle Mayers. Aaron Jones, Steven Taylor, and Shayan Jahangir will provide the domestic support.

The Orcas will use the all-round skills of Sikandar Raza and Gulbadin Naib. Obed McCoy and Fazalhaq Farooqi will handle the pace attack.

Heinrich Klaasen (c), David Warner, Aaron Jones, Steven Taylor, Shimron Hetmyer, Rahul Jariwala, Shayan Jahangir, Sikandar Raza, Gulbadin Naib, Ali Sheikh, Kyle Mayers, Sujit Nayak, Harmeet Singh, Cameron Gannon, Jasdeep Singh, Obed McCoy, Waqar Salamkheil, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Ayan Desai.

Texas Super Kings (TSK)

Faf du Plessis will be back in the familiar yellow jersey. Devon Conway will accompany him to open, while Donovan Ferreira, Daryl Mitchell, and Mitchell Marsh will slot in the top order.

Saiteja Mukkamalla, Smit Patel, and Shubham Ranjane will add depth to TSK’s batting lineup. Nandre Burger and Adam Milne will be pace spearheads, while Akeal Hosein and Noor Ahmad will lead the spin attack.

TSK Squad for MLC 2025:

Faf du Plessis (c), Devon Conway, Saiteja Mukkamalla, Smit Patel, Donovan Ferreira, Milind Kumar, Daryl Mitchell, Mohammad Mohsin, Shubham Ranjane, Joshua Tromp, Mitchell Marsh, Nandre Burger, Akeal Hosein, Adam Milne, Noor Ahmad, Calvin Savage, Zia-ul-Haq.

Washington Freedom (WF)

Last edition’s champions, Washington Freedom, will have a new skipper in Glenn Maxwell. While Steven Smith will feature in the league, his availability is limited.

Freedom will rely on Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitch Owen, and the local Andries Gous in the batting department. Saurabh Netravalkar will lead the pace attack. International pace recruits Jason Behrendorff, Lockie Ferguson, and Ben Sears will support him well.
