The winners of the inaugural IPL season, Rajasthan Royals (RR), haven’t been consistent enough to repeat their 2008 feat. But as the IPL 2024 kicks off, they will set their eyes on the coveted trophy.
Sanju Samson will captain the side, which has a mix of young and experienced players. RR will miss a couple of players due to injuries and personal reasons, but they won’t face much trouble.
The Jaipur-based franchise will commence its 2024 season with a clash against Lucknow Super Giants at home on March 24. Rajasthan’s next home game will be against Delhi Capitals on March 28.
RR will then head out to Maharashtra’s capital and coastal city, Mumbai, to take on the 5-times champion Mumbai Indians on April 1. The Royals will then return to Jaipur to host RCB on April 6, in what guarantees to be a ‘Royal’ clash.
