Bangladesh will kick off their World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle after the conclusion of the Cricket World Cup in India in October-November 2023.
The WTC offers an equal opportunity to the Bangladesh team to play against the best teams in the longer format of the game.

Bangladesh’s Performance in WTC 2021-23
Bangladesh finished at the bottom of the table, as they managed to win only one match out of the 12. Their only win came against New Zealand, where they managed to draw the series 1-1 (2).
Out of the six Test series, they lost five, with one drawn series against New Zealand. Bangladesh lost 10 Test matches and managed to draw one.
They lost the home series against Sri Lanka by 0-1 (2), Pakistan by 0-2 (2), and India by 0-2 (2). And on away tours, they lost against the West Indies by 0-2 (2) and South Africa by 0-2 (2).
As a result of their dismal performance, they finished the championship at the bottom of the WTC points table.

Bangladesh WTC 2023-25 Schedule
Bangladesh will play 12 Test matches in the WTC 2023-25 cycle across six Test series. Each series consists of 2 Tests.
They will face New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and South Africa at home, while they will tour Pakistan, India, and the West Indies.
Home Series
1. Bangladesh vs New Zealand
Bangladesh will host New Zealand for a 2-match Test series. This series will take place in November and December 2023. The first Test match will be played between November 28 and December 2, 2023, while the second is scheduled between December 6 and 10, 2023.

2. Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka
Bangladesh’s second home series is against Sri Lanka. Both teams will play 2 Tests between February and March 2024.

3. Bangladesh vs South Africa
Bangladesh will square off against South Africa in a 2-match Test series. The series will take place between October and November 2024.

Away Series
1. Pakistan vs Bangladesh
Bangladesh will play their first away series in Pakistan. Both teams will face off in a 2-match Test series scheduled between August and September 2024.

2. India vs Bangladesh
After the Pakistan series, Bangladesh will fly to India. The series against India consists of 2 Tests played between September and October 2024.

Bangladesh’s last WTC series will be against the West Indies. Both teams will play 2 Tests between November and December 2024.
