The second season of International League T20 will kick off on January 19, 2024, with defending champions the Gulf Giants taking on the Sharjah Warriors. The final of ILT20 2023 will take place on February 17, 2024.
However, the league will clash with South Africa’s SA20, which will run from January 10 to February 10.
ILT20 Teams and Venues
The ILT20, organised by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), will be played across 3 stadiums in the UAE. The league will see a total of 34 matches, including the playoffs and final. Out of the 34 matches, Dubai will host 15, Abu Dhabi will host 11, and Sharjah will host 8 games.
Six teams will feature in the league, each playing 5 home and 5 away games. The teams that will participate are — Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, and Sharjah Warriors.
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and MI Emirates will play their home games in Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Cricket Stadium. The Dubai Capitals have marked Dubai International Stadium as their home venue.
The iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium will play host to Sharjah Warriors home matches. Desert Vipers and Gulf Giants, on the other hand, will play their home games across Dubai and Sharjah.
