
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is a grand affair. A total of 12 teams are playing, two more than the previous edition.
While all teams are aiming for the big title, there’s also big money waiting for them. And it’s 10 per cent more than the 2024 edition.
So what’s the prize money for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026?
The ICC will distribute US$8.76 million among the 12 teams. That’s around INR 82.7 crore.
In 2024, the prize money was US$7.95 million.
How much will the winners get?
The winners will, of couse, take the big cut. They will earn US$2.34 million (approx. INR 22.1 crore), the same as 2024.
What about the runners-up?
The runners-up prize money hasn’t been increased either. They will take home US$1.17 million (approx. INR 11 crore).
And how much will other teams earn?
Apart from the two finalists, others teams will also earn a fair share of the prize money.
The two losing semi-finalists will bag US$675,000 each (appox. INR 6.3 crore). Their share hasn’t gone up as well.
The teams that finish between fifth and 12th will earn guaranteed US$247,500 (approx. INR 2.3 crore).
Apart from the prize money, teams will also receive US$31,154 (approx. INR 29 lakh) for every win in the group stage. So, yeah, there’s pretty much at stake.
