
After wrapping up the WPL, India women will regroup for a spicy Australia tour. This will be India’s first series of 2026.
The Down Under tour comes on the back of India defeating Australia in the 2025 World Cup semi-final. So, the Australians will be out with their knives, ready to sort of heal their wounds.

When does the India women’s tour of Australia 2026 start?
Australia and India will start the all-format series on February 15. They will face off in the first T20I in Sydney at 7:15 PM local time (1:45 PM IST).
Before the series kicks off, India will play a warm-up T20 match against the Governor-General’s XI on February 13 in North Sydney.
How many matches will both teams play?
Both teams are set to play seven matches across formats. Three of them are T20Is, with three ODIs, and a one-off Test to follow.
The T20Is, in particular, act as preparatory games for the Women’s T20 World Cup scheduled in June-July 2026.
Which venues will host the matches?
Australia and India will play the series across six venues.

What’s the full schedule for the India women’s tour of Australia 2026?
After the series opener in Sydney, both teams will move to Canberra for the second T20I on February 19. The T20I leg will conclude in Adelaide on February 21.
The attention will then shift to ODIs, with the first game on February 24 in Brisbane. Then both teams will travel to Hobart for the next two ODIs, on February 27 and March 1.
The teams will be back in mainland Australia for the one-off Test match. Perth will host the four-day encounter starting March 6. Notably, it will be a day-night Test.

What are the squads of both teams?
India were the first to reveal their touring party. Harmanpreet Kaur continues to lead them across formats, with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy.
Shreyanka Patil returns to the T20I fold, as does Bharati Fulmali, who is back after playing two games in 2019.
Vaishnavi Sharma, who impressed during the Sri Lanka series, has retained her spot in T20Is, while earning her maiden call-up in ODIs, along with G Kamalini, and in Tests.
Kamalini will be the backup wicketkeeper for Richa Ghosh in the white-ball games. Keeper-batter Uma Chetry, who missed out on T20Is and ODIs, is there in the Test squad.
Harleen Deol, meanwhile, is out of T20Is, although she retains her spot in ODIs and has received a call-up in Tests.
Pratika Rawal, one of the architects behind the 2025 World Cup win, has earned a maiden call-up into the Test squad. Amanjot Kaur, Kranti Gaud, and Sayali Satghare are the others who’ve played a Test yet.
