The defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), are set to open the IPL 2025 on March 22. They will start their title defence with the opening fixture against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
KKR have a new captain in place, while they tried to retain and buy back as many players as possible from last season’s champion squad. They didn’t retain their title-winning skipper, Shreyas Iyer, but his Mumbai colleague, Ajinkya Rahane, will carry out the job this season.
With a mix of young and experienced players at his disposal, Rahane will look to take KKR to their fourth title.
That said, here’s KKR’s complete schedule for the IPL 2025 season.

KKR IPL 2025: Key Matches
The defending champions need to be wary of four opponents in their title defence. KKR’s matches against RCB, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are expected to be close fights.
They will play each of these teams twice on a home and away basis. KKR’s record against CSK and MI isn’t great, while they have an edge over the other two opponents.
Last season, they had three high-scoring games against RCB and PBKS. While KKR defeated RCB twice, they failed to defend a 262-run target against Punjab.
