Consistency is paramount in almost every sport. Cricket is also no exception.
And players know this quite well, which forces them to be at their best almost every time they step on the field. While all days aren’t the same and failure is inevitable, a few batters set an example with their consistent runs.
A score of even 25 or 30 runs is always valuable in T20 cricket. And if a batter crosses the mark match after match, it shows their dedication level.
On that note, here are the top five batters with the most consecutive 25-plus scores in the IPL.
5. Sai Sudharsan (GT): 9 (2023-24)
Sai Sudharsan is among the latest crop of players who are shining bright in the IPL. While he made his debut in 2022, it was in 2023 that he showed his potential.
Sudharsan played five games at the start of the 2023 season before being left out. But then he returned to the squad towards the business end of the tournament.
And the left-hand batter made the most of the opportunity with three back-to-back scores of 40-plus runs. This even included a 96-run knock in the final against CSK.
While his 96 couldn’t ensure a double delight for GT, Sudharsan continued his form in the 2024 season. He added six more scores of 25 or more runs, while scoring above 30 in each of those innings.
4. Virat Kohli (RCB): 9 (2024-25)
Virat Kohli is synonymous with consistency, isn’t he? Quite a few batters have managed to remain consistent like him in the IPL. One can’t forget his performance in the 2016 season.
But it was in 2024-25, Kohli had another great run. He was in sublime touch in the 2024 edition as RCB staged a comeback of a lifetime.
Seven of his nine 25-plus scores revived RCB’s campaign in the second half of the season. And it proved crucial, as RCB booked a playoff spot after everyone had almost written them off.
Although RCB faltered in the playoffs as usual, Kohli carried the form in 2025 to have nine 25-plus scores in back-to-back games.

3. Steven Smith (RPSG): 9 (2016-17)
Steven Smith may not have had a stellar run in the IPL, but he had a small purple patch across 2016 and 2017. He turned up for Rising Pune Supergiants in those two years.
While he scored nine consecutive 25-plus scores, four of those came in 2016. A wrist injury cut short his 2016 season, though he returned the next year to extend his streak.
Smith added five more scores of 25 or more runs before a Harbhajan Singh delivery snapped his streak. The Australian batter scored his maiden IPL hundred during the same streak.
2. Robin Uthappa (KKR): 10 (2014)
Robin Uthappa is among those players who quietly made an impact in the IPL. And it’s pretty hard to forget the heavy lifting he did for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2014.
The keeper-batter was in such tremendous form, he dished out ten 25-plus scores in a row. You’d be amazed to know Uthappa never failed to cross 40 runs in each of those innings!
He capped off the season with 660 runs to win the Orange Cap and help KKR lift the IPL trophy for the second time.
1. Suryakumar Yadav (MI): 13 (2025)
Suryakumar Yadav shattered Uthappa’s 11-year-old record to grab the top spot. He showed his persistence in the 2025 season to get 13 25-plus scores on the trot.
Surya started the streak at the start of the season with a 29-run knock against Chennai Super Kings. He extended the run for the next 13 matches to create a new record.
He crossed 40 or more runs eight times and brought up fifties in four games. Surya’s consistency helped Mumbai Indians (MI) bounce back after a poor start to the campaign.
