South Africa is one of the most competitive sides in international cricket, with top-class players in the team.
The team has tasted great success in world cricket, riding on the back of their players. To honour their hard work, Cricket South Africa (CSA) awards annual contracts to a select few players.
This article will list the South African cricketers with central contracts for the 2026-27 season.
South African Cricketers with Central Contracts
The CSA announced the 2026-27 central contracts on March 31. The contract cycle runs from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027.
A total of 19 players have earned contracts from the South African board, one less than last cycle.
The new additions are Ottneil Baartman, Corbin Bosch, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis and Simon Harmer. Baartman, Bosch, Breetzke and Brevis have secured their first national contracts.
Harmer, meanwhile, is on the hybrid contract list. And he is the only one with a hybrid contract in this cycle.
David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen, who had hybrid contracts last season, have been left out completely. Gerald Coetzee, Nandre Burger, Lizaad Williams and Reeza Hendricks have also lost their contracts.
