The IPL 2024 has gotten underway, but many teams have faced setbacks even before the tournament kicked off. Several IPL teams are plagued with a list of injured players, throwing their ambition to win the league for a toss.
Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are the most affected teams from the lot, with at least 2-3 players out of action.
This article provides the latest injury updates for all 10 teams participating in the IPL 2024.
Chennai Super Kings Injured Players
Devon Conway: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) formidable opening batter is out with a thumb injury. Conway underwent surgery at the start of March 2024 and will take at least 8 weeks to recover. So, he will miss the first half of the 17th IPL season.

Delhi Capitals Injured Players
Lungi Ngidi: Delhi Capitals (DC) will be without the services of Lungi Ngidi. The South African pacer won’t participate in the IPL 2024 due to his ongoing recovery from a lower back injury. The franchise has named Australia’s batter, Jake Fraser-McGurk, as Ngidi’s replacement.

Gujarat Titans Injured Players
Mohammed Shami: GT will miss their ace pacer, Mohammed Shami, due to an ankle injury. The Indian fast bowler has undergone surgery, though he has been ruled out till at least June 2024. Titans have brought in Sandeep Warrier as Shami’s replacement.
Robin Minz: The Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batter made waves during the IPL 2024 auction as GT splurged INR 3.6 crore to acquire his services. But before the season started, Robin had a bike accident, which ruled him out of the IPL 2024. Titans have replaced him with another keeper-batter from Karnataka, BR Sharath.

Lucknow Super Giants Injured Players
Shivam Mavi: The Indian pacer has been ruled out of the whole season owing to a rib injury that has kept him out of action for a long time.
Kolkata Knight Riders Injured Players
Mujeeb Ur Rahman: The Afghani spinner has been out of action since February 2024, after he suffered a right phalanx sprain. Mujeeb Ur Rahman hasn’t yet fully recovered from the injury, which has ruled him out of the league. In Rahman’s place, KKR has roped in another Afghani spinner, Allah Ghazanfar.
Mumbai Indians Injured Players
Dilshan Madushanka: The Sri Lankan seamer has been ruled out of the IPL 2024 due to a hamstring injury. South Africa’s Kwena Maphaka has replaced Madushanka in the squad.
Jason Behrendorff: The Australian left-arm pacer had a decent outing for MI last season. However, he will miss out on the whole of the 2024 season as he broke his leg before joining the team. Mumbai has brought in England’s Luke Wood in place of Behrendorff.

Rajasthan Royals Injured Players
Prasidh Krishna: The Indian pacer has been the unluckiest player as he has been ruled out of the tournament. Krishna had also missed the 2023 season due to an injury, and this time a quadriceps injury is keeping him out. Royals announced Keshav Maharaj as Krishna’s replacement.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Injured Players
Wanindu Hasaranga: The Sri Lankan spinner was expected to join the SRH camp before the league started, however, he is set to miss the whole tournament due to a heel injury.
