The ODI tri-nation series starts on October 17, 2026. Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will play in the first ODI in Abu Dhabi at 4:00 PM local time (5:30 PM IST).
What’s the format of the ODI tri-series?
It’s a short tri-series played on a single round-robin basis. The two teams with the most points will play in the tri-series final.
How many matches will take place in the ODI tri-series?
A total of four matches will take place in the tri-series, including the final. Each team will play two matches in the round-robin stage.
Which venues will host the ODI tri-series?
Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will share the hosting duties for the Afghanistan-Bangladesh-Zimbabwe ODI tri-nation series.

What’s the full schedule for the AFG-BAN-ZIM ODI tri-nation series 2026?
After the first match, Afghanistan will take on Zimbabwe in the second ODI on October 19 in Abu Dhabi. They will then face Bangladesh in the third match on October 21 in Sharjah.
Sharjah will also host the final of the tri-nation series on October 23.

What are the squads?
Rahmat Shah will lead the hosts in the tri-series. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is his deputy, and he will pair up with Ibrahim Zadran for opening.
Afghanistan also have plenty of experienced players in Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Azmatullah Omarzai.
