After missing out on the gold medal in the Asian Games, Pakistan will start their 2026/27 home season. They will host Sri Lanka straight up across October and November 2026.

When does the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka series 2026 start?

The series begins on October 9, 2026. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will square off in the first T20I in Rawalpindi at 8:00 PM local time (8:30 PM IST).

How many matches will both teams play?

The bilateral series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka includes three T20Is and two Tests. Sri Lanka will also play a three-day red-ball fixture against PCB Patron’s XI before the Tests.

The Lankans are also part of an ODI tri-series, crammed between the T20Is and Tests, involving Pakistan and England.

Which venues will host the matches?

All the T20Is will take place in Rawalpindi. The same venue will also host the first Test, while Lahore will host the second one. Islamabad will stage the warm-up fixture.

What’s the full schedule for the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka series 2026?

The T20Is are on October 9, 11 and 13, all in Rawalpindi. Then Sri Lanka will face Pakistan Cricket Board Patron’s XI in a three-day warm-up fixture from November 4 onwards.

The first Test then starts on November 9 in Rawalpindi. Lahore will host the second Test from November 17 onwards. Both Tests are part of the current WTC cycle.

What are the squads?

Sahibzada Farhan has replaced Salman Agha as Pakistan’s T20I skipper. Apart from losing the captaincy, Agha has also lost his place in the squad.

Naseem Shah, meanwhile, returns to the fold after his last appearance in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Recent Test debutant Razaullah has earned his maiden T20I call-up.
