We are up for yet another ‘A’ series between India and Australia. This one is between the men’s sides, following the women’s and under-19 series, which started earlier this month.

When does the India A vs Australia A series 2026 start?
The ‘A’ series begins on September 22, 2026. Both sides will take on each other in the first unofficial Test in Puducherry starting at 9:30 AM IST.
How many matches are part of the series?
The two ‘A’ sides will play five matches in the series. Two of those are unofficial Tests while three are List A games.
Last year too both teams played a similar series, with India A winning the Test leg 1-0, followed by a 2-1 win in the List A series.
Which venues will host the matches?
The entire series will take place at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Stadium in Puducherry.
What’s the schedule for the India A vs Australia A series 2026?
So the second four-day match starts on September 29. After a three-day break, the two teams will start the ODI leg.
The first List A match is on October 6, with the second and third games on October 9 and 11, respectively.

What are the squads? Any big names in the series?
A couple of Test regulars are part of the Indian squad. Devdutt Padikkal leads the squad, while Sai Sudharsan is his deputy.
Padikkal and Sudharsan also featured in last year’s squad. N Jagadeesan and Tanush Kotian also played last year.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, meanwhile, leads the ODI squad while Padikkal will deputise him. The squad also features Hardik Pandya, who is returning from an injury.
