New Zealand, the champions of the inaugural ICC World Test Championship (WTC), are set to compete in the third cycle of the WTC 2023-25.

The Kiwis will kick off their WTC campaign after the conclusion of the ICC Cricket World Cup in October-November 2023.

In this article, we’ll take a look at New Zealand’s WTC 2023-25 schedule.

But before that, let’s take a look at New Zealand’s performance in the previous WTC cycle.

New Zealand’s Performance in WTC 2021-23

Unlike the inaugural WTC cycle, New Zealand couldn’t reach the finals of the 2023 WTC.

The Kiwis finished the WTC 2021-23 cycle on the sixth spot as they managed to win only 4 Tests out of 13. And they registered 6 losses and 3 draws.

Out of the six Test series, they could only win one against Sri Lanka at home by 2-0 (2). While they lost 2 Test series against India by 1-0 (2) and England by 3-0 (3).

Meanwhile, they managed to draw the remaining three series against Bangladesh by 1-1 (2), South Africa by 1-1 (2), and Pakistan by 0-0 (2).

This below-par performance meant the Kiwis couldn’t grab the top 2 spots in the WTC points table.
