New Zealand vs West Indies Series 2025: Schedule, Venues, Squads, Broadcast Details

After a 3-0 clean sweep over England in ODIs, New Zealand takes on the West Indies in an all-format challenge. The Caribbean side is also fresh off a 3-0 T20I series victory against Bangladesh.

So, this makes up for a cracking contest between New Zealand and the West Indies across November and December 2025.

But when and where does the New Zealand vs West Indies 2025 series start?

New Zealand and the West Indies will start with the first T20I on November 5, 2025. Auckland will host the clash starting at 7:15 PM local time (11:45 AM IST).

How many matches are part of the series?

It’s an 11-match itinerary spread across seven weeks. Five of them are T20Is, followed by three ODIs.

The limited-overs games are crucial, as both teams will use T20Is to prepare for the 2026 T20 World Cup, while the one-dayers will help build towards the 2027 Cricket World Cup.

After the white-ball action, the focus will shift towards three Tests, which are part of the current WTC cycle. The West Indies have had a terrible start, while the Blackcaps will begin their campaign with these games.

The Caribbean side will also play a three-day warm-up red-ball fixture before the first Test.

Alright, which venues will host the matches?

The action will be spread across nine venues in New Zealand

Here are the venues:

  • Basin Reserve, Wellington
  • Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui
  • Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln
  • Eden Park, Auckland
  • Hagley Oval, Christchurch
