The West Indies are set to resume international cricket action in June 2026. They will host Sri Lanka for an all-format series. It’s a month-long series.

When does the West Indies vs Sri Lanka series 2026 start?

The series begins on June 3, 2026. The West Indies and Sri Lanka will square off in the first ODI in Jamaica at 11:00 AM local time (9:30 PM IST).

How many matches are part of the series?

Both teams will face each other in eight matches across formats. Three of those are ODIs, followed by three T20Is and two Tests. The Tests are part of the current WTC cycle.

There’s also a four-day warm-up match scheduled for the visitors against a West Indies Select XI before the Tests.

Which venues will host the matches?

One venue each in Jamaica and Antigua will host the series. The ODIs and T20Is will take place in Jamaica, while Antigua will host both Tests.

The warm-up red-ball fixture will also take place in Antigua at Coolidge Cricket Ground.

What’s the full schedule for the West Indies vs Sri Lanka series 2026?

After the series opener ODI, both teams will lock horns in the second game on June 6. The last one-dayer will take place on June 8.

After a two-day gap, both teams will kick off the T20I leg. The first match is on June 11, followed by the second and third on June 13 and 14.

Then the attention will shift towards red ball action. Sri Lanka will get to prepare for the Tests with a four-day warm-up match, which starts on June 18.

The Test series then starts on June 25, followed by the second from July 3 onwards.

What are the squads?

Sri Lanka announced their touring party. Kusal Mendis leads them in the white-ball leg, while Dhananjaya de Silva captains them in Tests.

Charith Asalanka, whom Mendis replaced as captain, has retained his spot in the ODI squad. Similarly, Dasun Shanaka, former T20I skipper, finds himself in the T20I setup.

Wanindu Hasaranga, meanwhile, returns to the ODI and T20I squads after recovering from his injury.
