Sri Lanka’s World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 Schedule

Sri Lanka kicked off the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle with a series against Bangladesh. Their schedule commenced on June 17, 2025.

Now, they have five more Test series lined up till February 2027. All of their six series consist of two Tests each, aggregating to 12 matches this cycle.

Apart from their Bangladesh series at home, Sri Lanka will host India and South Africa. Their away fixtures will be in the West Indies, Pakistan, and New Zealand.

Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh (Home)

Sri Lanka got going in the WTC 2025-27 cycle a couple of days after the WTC Final 2025. Their first assignment was against Bangladesh in June 2025.

The first of the two Tests, which ended in a draw, took place at Galle from June 17 to 21. Colombo (SSC) hosted the second Test from June 25 to 29.

West Indies vs Sri Lanka (Away) – Sobers-Tissera Trophy

After no Test action for a whole year, the Lankan Lions will be back in whites in June 2026. They will be aboard for their first away series of the cycle.

Sri Lanka will travel to the West Indies for a two-Test series. They haven’t been able to win a series in the Caribbean in their last three attempts.

Sri Lanka vs India (Home)

Once the Caribbean tour concludes, Sri Lanka will be back home. And they will gear up for a spicy Test series against India.

The series will feature two Tests scheduled in August 2026. Sri Lanka have lost their previous two Test series against India at home.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka (Away)

Sri Lanka will take on another Asian team, though in an away series. They will tour Pakistan in November 2026.

It will be a two-Test affair in Pakistan’s chilling winter season. Sri Lanka will travel to Pakistan for the first time in seven years. The last series in Pakistan ended with the hosts winning it 1-0.

New Zealand vs Sri Lanka (Away)

Sri Lanka will begin 2027 with a trip to New Zealand. They will square off against the Blackcaps in two Tests in January 2027.

The Lankan Lions haven’t won a Test in New Zealand since their 2006 tour. And their last series victory was back in 1995.

Sri Lanka vs South Africa (Home)

Sri Lanka will return home in February 2027. They will host South Africa in their last series of the WTC 2025-27 cycle.

The two Tests will take place in February-March 2027. This will mark the first series between both sides in Sri Lanka since 2018. The hosts clinched the last series by 2-0.
