West Indies World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 Schedule

The West Indies finished the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 in eighth position. This was their third consecutive second-last finish since the WTC started in 2019.

And so they are one of the poorest-performing teams in the top tier of Test cricket. But as the third WTC cycle beckons, the Men in Maroon would like to improve their performance.

The West Indies will commence their WTC 2025-27 campaign on June 25, 2025. They will be up against Australia in the first series before flying out to India and New Zealand.

Then, in 2026, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will line up at home before they conclude the cycle in Bangladesh. In all, the Caribbean team will play 14 Tests throughout the cycle.

West Indies vs Australia (Home) – Frank Worrell Trophy

The West Indies will play host to Australia for a Test series after a decade. The last time these two teams played in the Caribbean was back in 2015 for a two-match series.

This time, the Windies will take on the heavyweight Australia in a three-Test series. The first of the three Tests will take place in Barbados from June 25, 2025, onwards.

The second red-ball fixture will pan out at St George’s from July 3 to 7. And the last Test will be a pink-ball match, scheduled for July 12 to 16 at Kingston in Jamaica.

India vs West Indies (Away)

After a two-month break, the Windies will be off to their first away series of the WTC 2025-27 cycle. They will land in India for a two-Test series in October 2025.

The first Test of the series will start on October 2 in Ahmedabad. And the second Test will be up north in Delhi from October 10 onwards.

The Windies boys haven’t won a Test in India since 1995, with their last series victory being in 1983.

New Zealand vs West Indies (Away)

The Men in Maroon will have another overseas assignment before 2025 ends. They will travel to New Zealand for their second three-Test series of this cycle.

Their stay will stretch from late November to mid-December. The series is likely to get underway in Christchurch.

Wellington will host the second Test in early December. And the third Test will take place in Mount Maunganui.

Like India, the Windies haven’t won a Test match in New Zealand since 1996.

West Indies vs Sri Lanka (Home) – Sobers-Tissera Trophy

The Men in Maroon will be back in whites right in the second half of 2026. They will host Sri Lanka for a Test series in June 2026.

It will be a two-Test affair against the Lankan Lions. The last three series played between the two sides in the West Indies ended in draws.

West Indies vs Pakistan (Home)

Pakistan arrive for a two-match series in late July 2026. The first Test will take place in late July, while the second will be in early August.

The last series in 2021 at home saw the hosts share the trophy with Pakistan as the series ended 1-1

Bangladesh vs West Indies (Away)

The West Indies’ WTC campaign will come to an end in October 2026. They will tour Bangladesh for a two-match series.

The Caribbean team won the last Test series played in Bangladesh by a 2-0 margin in 2021.
