When and where does the India vs Sri Lanka Women’s T20I Series 2025 start?
The T20I series will start on December 21, 2025. Visakhapatnam, which recently hosted the 2025 Women’s World Cup, will host the first T20I match at 7:00 PM IST.
How many matches are part of the series?
It’s a short and crisp series. India women and Sri Lanka women will play five T20Is.
This series will help both teams prepare for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is six months away. So even though the series was pencilled in at the last moment, it’s a crucial one.
Which venues will host the matches?
The BCCI has earmarked two venues from southern India. Andhra’s Visakhapatnam and Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram will share the hosting duties for the T20I series.

What are the squads for the series?
India have retained most of the squad that toured England earlier this year. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the squad, which sees two new faces in Vaishnavi Sharma and G Kamilini.
Vaishnavi is a left-arm spinner. She starred in India’s victorious women’s under-19 T20 World Cup campaign earlier this year with 17 wickets. Her under-19 teammate Kamilini comes in as a backup for wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh.
