Bangladesh are set to host Australia after close to five years for a white-ball series in June 2026.

The last time Australia toured in 2021, they played only T20Is. But this time, both teams will lock horns in ODIs and T20Is.

So here’s all you need to know about Australia’s tour of Bangladesh 2026. 

When does the Bangladesh vs Australia series 2026 start?

The series starts on June 9, 2026. Both teams will square off in the first ODI in Mirpur at 9:00 AM local time (8:30 AM IST).

How many matches are part of the series?

In all, both teams will play six matches – three ODIs and three T20Is.

Which venues will host the matches?

Chattogram and Mirpur will host the limited-overs series between Bangladesh and Australia.

Here are the venues:

  • Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium, Chattogram
  • Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur

What’s the full schedule for the Bangladesh vs Australia series 2026?

After the first game, the second and the third ODIs will follow on June 11 and 14. Mirpur will host all ODIs.

Then the attention will shift to the T20Is. The first T20I will take place on June 17, followed by the second and the third on June 19 and 21. Chattogram will host the T20I leg.

What are the squads?

Australia were the first to announce their squad. Mitchell Marsh will captain both sides, while their regular ODI skipper Pat Cummins rests for the entire series.

All-rounder Liam Scott is a new addition to the ODI setup. Left-arm spinner, Joel Davies, meanwhile, has earned his maiden T20I call-up. 

Riley Meredith and Josh Phillippe feature only in the T20I squad, while Alex Carey, Ben Dwarshuis, Marnus Labuschagne and Tanveer Sangha are part of the ODIs.
